New Year brings new occupiers and jobs at Westcroft District Centre, MK

Two new occupiers are to join the roll call of tenants within the popular Westcroft District Centre at Barnsdale Drive, just three miles outside of Milton Keynes city centre.

Air Ambulance and Greggs have both signed new agreements to take space within the scheme and will open later this year.  They will be housed within the former library building, which has been taken back by the landlords of LCP Group at lease expiry and will be split to provide three new retailing opportunities.

Simon Toseland, a Director of letting agent Prop-Search, said: “The Air Ambulance has agreed to lease approximately 1,285 sq ft for a term of 10 years for a new charity shop, whilst Greggs has committed to a unit of some 1,388 sq ft - and has already started its recruitment process.”

“Both new occupiers will complement existing tenants within the scheme which include Costa Coffee, Thomas Cook, The Card Factory and Ladbrokes.”

Howard Roddis, Asset Manager of LCP which manages the Westcroft District Centre, added: “We are very pleased to welcome these two tenants to Westcroft.  They will add to the tenant mix and which will benefit our customers.”

The last opportunity within the scheme provides for premises of 640 sq ft with planning consent for A1 retail and A2 financial and professional services uses.  The accommodation is available on a new lease agreement with a rent of £30.00 per sq ft exclusive quoted.  All enquiries should be directed to the landlord’s retained agent: Prop-Search - Tel: 01908 630066.

Milton Keynes Council and Milton Keynes Libraries - as part of the Sharing Libraries Reviews - is investing £1.4 million into developing a new purpose-built Westcroft Library.  However, in the interim, is now operating from the Tattenhoe Pavilion, behind The Meeting Place at the Westcroft District Centre.  All the usual library services are available including free WiFi, public computers, printing, children’s hour and photocopying.  Tattenhoe Pavilion also offers ample parking and a café.
